About this place
Close to the south exit of Otsuka Station, Yakiniku Sankouen provides a welcoming setting to explore distinct cuts and careful prep. The menu features staples such as shio (salted) tongue, kalbi, and loin, alongside Wagyu harami skirt steak and premium cuts, with the house default of seasoned tare sauce swappable for simple salt seasoning upon request. Most meat options can be ordered as full portions of 100 g or half portions of 60 g, letting solo diners or smaller groups build a varied spread without overcommitting.
On the grill, favorites include tender yet substantial special shio tongue, deeply flavorful Wagyu harami, and well-marbled premium loin. Heartier options include thick-cut prime salt tongue and thick-cut Wagyu skirt steak sliced into 1 cuts totaling 70 g, as well as the Sankou-mori platter combining special kalbi and special loin. Variety meat selections—from crisp prime mino (first stomach) and fatty horumon to refreshing boiled white omasum sashimi—further broaden the meal.
Side dishes receive equal attention, with flavorful kimchi assortments and seasoned namul offering palate-cleansing contrast between grilled cuts. Finishing bowls such as gentle dashi-infused gukbap, milky gomtang beef-bone soup, and smooth cold noodles settle the appetite nicely. For dessert, bitter cocoa ice cream with caramelized nuts or a bright citrus sorbet wraps up the meal on a refreshing note.
The interior is tidy and fitted with tablet ordering, keeping dining comfortable whether eating alone or in company. Tatami seating on the 2nd floor accommodates family meals with children as well as gatherings of close friends.
